Two files of correspondence, reports, pamphlets, etc., about the Fellowship Reconciliation Committee. Most of the papers relate to the F.R.C.'s concern for the welfare of conscientious objectors and their dependants, 1915-21, to its attempts to alleviate the plight of children in famine-stricken Central Europe, especially in Austria and Hungary, 1920-2, by giving them temporary homes in Britain, and to Anna Makara a Hungarian girl who lived with the Davies family for a while.

Three files of the general correspondence of Ben Davies comprising approximately 1,500 letters including 20 letters from Evan Pan Jones, 1896-1901 (a libel suit brought against him by Gwyneddon, the National Land League, the financial demise of Cwrs y Byd, etc.), 16 letters from Samuel J. Evans, 1927-8, 1937-8; 5 letters from 'Eifionydd' [John Thomas, editor of Y Genhinen] 1895, 1897-8; 4 letters from D. R. Grenfell, MP, 1932-3, 1938, and 2 letters from George M. Ll. Davies, 1938 (views on Russia). The main themes of the general correspondence, however, are personal affairs, science and scientific experiments, spiritualism, the 1904 Revival and other religious matters, national and international politics, especially Russia and the Second World War. The correspondence also includes a reference to the presence of Llwyd ap Iwan in Cardiff and a proposal to publish an account of his travels in Patagonia and the Andes, 1901. Three files of family correspondence comprising approximately 1,350 letters, including copy replies; written mainly by Ben Davies and his wife. Almost all the correspondence is concerned with personal and domestic matters; but there are numerous references to Christian Science and to spiritualism and four references to experimenting with Marconi's telegraph invention at Lavernock near Cardiff, 1897. There are also letters from Gwen Davies to her parents from Hungary, 1922, Italy, 1925, and Switzerland, 1929 and letters written by a relative working in China, 1913. Six files of approximately 900 letters from Sir Oliver Lodge or his secretary to Ben Davies with a number of copy replies concerning Sir Oliver's famous ether experiments, and experiments on electro-magnetic waves, photo-electricity, magnetic telegraph, etc. [cf. Sir Oliver Lodge, Past Years : An Autobiography (1931), Chaps. xiv-xvii]. Other subjects discussed include seances, spiritualism, publications and Russia.
