Letter from Sir Robert Watkin Williams-Wynn, commander of the Montgomeryshire Yeomanry, concerning the amalgamation of 1/1 Welsh Horse with 1/1 Montgomeryshire Yeomanry, including notes on the qualities of some of the officers, together with a menu card from the amalgamation dinner. The letter is addressed to Lord Kensington, who took command of the amalgamated regiment.

Letters sent by soldiers of the Welsh Horse to their friends and families (and possibly Lord Kensington), and subsequently collected by William Edwardes and Julian Franklyn.
