Address and notes on '"The Cambrians" and the 19th century crisis in Welsh studies, 1847-70',

This article was prepared as a Presidential Address to have been given by BBT after his installation at the Annual Summer Meeting of the Cambrian Archaeological Association in Aberystwyth in 1977. Ben Bowen Thomas's death a few weeks before the proposed meeting meant that the address was read by the Chairman of the General Committee, Dr Michael R. Apted. The address appears in Archaeologia Cambrensis, 1978.
