Faculty granted by Anthony, Bishop of Saint David's, to Edward Richard of Brynperfedd, p. Ystrad-Meirig, co. Card., gent., to erect a library on the vacant spot of ground in the parish church of Ystrad Meirig, 16 feet from North to South and 10 feet from East to West, which the said Edward Richard is desirous of furnishing with a collection of books for the use of the minister and inhabitants of the said p. for the time being, but nevertheless to be appendant to the respective owners of Brynperfedd for ever.

Exemplification of a judgment, 27 Aug. 1655, in the Court of Great Sessions in a suit between Morgan Harbert, demandant, within the age of 21, by Marie Harbet his next friend, and George John, defendant, relating to two m's and 160 a. of land in Caron and Llandewibrevie, co. Card., which one Evan Jones after 4 Feb. 1535/6 (on 4 Aug. 1601) enfeoffed to Thomas Harbert and John Jones, gent's, to the use of the said Evan Jones during his lifetime and after his decease to the use of one Morgan Harbert and Mawd his wife, grandparents of the said demandant. Robert, Earl of Essex, the minerals, game, and right to enclose being reserved for the first party and the second party to pay the yearly rent of £3.6.8 and to grind his corn at the water mill of gr.
