Has decided to resign from the Welsh Church Commission. Slow progress being made despite Evans's efforts to speed up the proceedings. Can no longer afford the time.
On behalf of Lloyd George. Asks Evans to meet Lloyd George the following day.
Refers to note sent by Evans. Lloyd George not in but can see Evans at the National Liberal Club at 6.00.
Sees no reason to change his mind over resignation, since his meeting with Lloyd George, the previous Friday.
Has seen Lord Chancellor about Evans's proposed resignation: '...he is strongly of opinion you ought not to resign'. Wants Evans to see him. [Reverse of letter has drafts for letters nos. 95 and 97].
