The papers include a copy of Notes as to appointments in the gift of the Prime Minister & other duties of his office (London: HMSO, 1907), and a file of typescript copies of papers 'Procedure for selection of Speaker [of the House of Commons]'.

Miscellaneous letters and papers relating to the First World War. Among the papers are photographs of a letter, 25 May 1915, from H. H. Asquith to D. Lloyd George, and of letters, 22 May 1916 and undated, from D. Lloyd George to Sir Eric Geddes; the typescript of a speech, 19 November 1918, by Sir Maurice Hankey to the War Cabinet Secretariat; and typescript copies of the correspondence which passed between H. H. Asquith and D. Lloyd George, 1-9 December 1916; and a letter, 9 March 1918, from Frederick Guest to D. Lloyd George discussing Coalition Liberal preparations for the forthcoming general election, together with papers drafted as the basis of an agreement between the Coalition Liberals and the Conservatives. There is also a group of correspondence and papers, 1966-7, relating to the preparation of The Records of the Cabinet Office to 1922 (London, HMSO, 1966), and correspondence and papers concerning an article 'Challenge to Lloyd George' published in The Times, 4 April 1970.
