Norman Crider

Studio portrait of an American serviceman with a sharpshooter qualification badge with clasp and medal ribbons for the American Campaign and American Defense Service Medals. From his other insignia it can be deduced that he is in the US Corps of Engineers and part of the 27th Division.

Studio portrait of brothers Norman & Alfred Thomas of 50 Rhosmaen Street, Llandeilo. Both joined up Kings Royal Rifle Corps on the same day. Norman was later promoted to Sergeant, earned the Military Medal and was reported as missing during the Battle of Cambrai on 30 November 1917. Thought to have been taken prisoner by the Germans. No trace of him was ever found. He was 31 years old, (see West Wales War Memorials Project website for further details)

Half-length studio portrait of a Captain in the Belgian Free Forces - note the three pips on his shoulder, his shoulder title on which 'BELG' is discernible and his cap with a Belgian Crown cap badge. He is probably part of the 1st Belgian Infantry Brigade who were stationed in Tenby.
