[Three Career Soldiers in Dress Uniform]

Full-length studio portrait of two lance corporals and a sergeant. The sergeant, the senior of the three is seated in the centre. He has a marksman skill-at-arms badge and is wearing two medals. One is the 1899 Queen's South Africa medal with one clasp (possibly Cape Colony), the other is the King's South Africa Medal with two clasps.On his left is the next most senior (in age) corporal who also wears a marksman skill-at-arms badge. To the sergeant's right is the youngest of the three. These could be three generations of the same family.

Two full length portraits of soldiers copied from the originals. One has a marksman skill-at-arms badge and a cap under his arm with what appears to be the cap badge of the Lancashire Fusiliers. The other is wearing the bandolier and spurs of a cavalryman.

[Lance Corporal & three civilians]

Studio portrait of a Lance Corporal wearing what appears to be a Territorial Force War Medal ribbon on his tunic. He is sitting next to a woman displaying what appear to be an engagement and wedding rings. Behind them are two older men in dark suits. Possibly a wedding photograph. The Territorial Force medal was not awarded until April 1920.

[Soldier in Greatcoat]

Three quarter-length studio portrait of a soldier wearing a greatcoat and holding a cigarette in his left hand. His cap badge may be that of the Labour Corps which was instigated in Jan 1917 for men no longer suitable for front line duties..

[ Soldier, Royal Field Artillery]

Half-length studio portrait of a young soldier in the Royal Field Artillery. His arms are resting on the back of a chair in order to display his good conduct stripe and three overseas service chevrons. See also DCH Mil 232. On his shoulder is a divisional patch depicting a thistle, that of the Ninth Division.

[Corporal with Machine Gun Skill-at-arms patch]

Half-length seated, studio portrait of a young corporal. On his sleeve can be seen a patch on which the letters 'MG' within a wreath, showing his proficiency with a Machine Gun. The crossed swords on his upper sleeve denote that he is a physical training instructor.
