[Private,with Swagger Stick]

A three quarter-length portrait of a Private holding a swagger stick. There is some form of identity on his shoulder but not sufficiently clear to identify his regiment. There is also a patch of darker cloth at the top of his sleeve, possibly part of a divisional patch.

D C Harries, Rhosmaen Street, Llandilo.

[Captain Alan Ralph Peel]

A half-length portrait of an officer in dress uniform displaying the collar badges of the South Wales Borderers. Identified as Captain Alan Ralph Peel of Taliaris, killed in action at Kosseoa, Cameroon on Nov 17th 1914. See West Wales War Memorials project for confirmation.

D C Harries, Rhosmaen Street, Llandilo.

[Two soldiers and a civilian.]

Studio portrait of a Lance Corporal in the South Wales Borderers and a private in the Royal Welsh Fusiliers standing either side of a seated civilian who appears to be wearing a discharge badge.

D C Harries, Rhosmaen Street, Llandilo.

[Winners of Battalion Challenge Trophy , Penally 1908]

Group portrait of eight soldiers in the Welsh Regiment sitting and standing around a banner proclaiming " Winners of Battalion Challenge Trophy, Penally 1908" below which is a certificate which reads "Battalion Trophy, won by the Llandilo Company 4th Battalion Welsh Regiment at Penally, August 19th 1908" and goes on to list the team members. Unfortunately the team members names are illegible.

D C Harries, Rhosmaen Street, Llandilo.

Head and shoulders portrait of a soldier in early C20th military uniform, possibly Welsh Regiment - note dragon collar badge as worn by Welsh Regiment prior to 1909.
