Mainly leases, 1619-1675, by Sir William Lewis of Llan-gors, then of Westbury and Borden in the county of Southampton (Hampshire), of properties in the parishes of Llanfihangel Nant Bran, Llan-gors, Brecon, Llanfihangel Tal-y-llyn, Trallong and Merthyr Cynog, including the fulling mill on part of Pont Willim Issa in the parish of St John the Evangelist, Brecon, 1657, and the mill in Ysgyr-fawr, Merthyr Cynog, 1662. Other deeds comprise a release by Thomas Lewis of Tir y Ffynnant Ucha, Tir y Klyn Hire, Tir y Klyn Llwyd and a portion of Tir yr Aeldwy in Llanfihangel Nant Bran, purchased from Howell Thomas and Elizabeth his wife in trust for Sir William Lewis, 1657; a lease by Leonard Bilson of Maple Durham, Hampshire, and Christopher Buckle of Burrough, Surrey, of land in Llan-gors, 1679; and the gift by Thomas Fowler of St Thomas, Staffordshire, of a yearly rent charge from the manor of Stow, Staffordshire, and from lands in Amerton, Admaston, Grainley etc. to Patrick Madan of St Giles in the Fields, Middlesex, doctor in physic, 1685, and related bond, 1694/5.
