Miscellaneous papers relating to the tithe rent charges due on the Gogerddan estate, 1891-1896, including a demand notice from the rector of Machynlleth; accounts to Sir Pryse Pryse from Roberts and Evans, solicitors, Aberystwyth, tithe agents to Miss Rosalie Caroline Chichester and the Earl of Lisburne; a statement of rents and tithes; a list of tenants in arrears and the acreages of named properties in Ysgubor-y-coed, Llangynfelyn, Ceulan a Maes-mawr, etc.

Tithe agreement and particulars

A certificate of particulars relating to non-fulfilment of a bond for the payment of tithe arrears by Richard Morgan of Llanfihangel [Genau’r-glyn], c. 1762; an agreement for the letting of the tithes on Gogerddan demesne to Pryse Pryse, 1814; particulars labelled ‘Sheep Walks Tithe Hay on Gogerthan Estate’; and rough calculations for Elerch, Parsel Canol, Trefeurig, etc.

Timber harvesting books

A series of small notebooks recording the numbers of elm, larch, ash and oak trees felled on parts of the Gogerddan estate, their dimensions and sometimes the content of the timber, 1914-1923. One of the books employs a tally system to record the numbers of trees cut. The locations of the woods include Ponterwyd, Ffynon Caradog, Porthangel, Llanfihangel [Genau’r-glyn] and Lodge Park
