Most of the letters, 1899-1926, concern research and publishing matters and the affairs of the Honourable Society of Cymmrodorion and its meetings. Many of the letters discuss the preparation and publication of Davies's Bibliography of Welsh Ballads and various articles and notes. There are occasional references to the University College of Wales, Aberystwyth, and to the establishment of the National Library of Wales.

They include calling cards, readers' tickets, invitations and admission cards, menus and toasts, and annual membership cards. They relate to events at, among other institutions, the University College of Wales, Aberystwyth, the University of Wales, the Guild of Graduates of the University of Wales, the Honourable Society of Cymmrodorion, the National Library of Wales, the National Eisteddfod and the Welsh Bibliographical Society.
