WAAM promotional material,

Printed items used to raise awareness of the aims of the Wales Anti-Apartheid Movement (WAAM) and to promote its activities, comprising leaflets, flyers, cards and stickers. Also includes some preparatory artwork and lists of members of the House of Commons, the Wales TUC, Cardiff City Council, the Welsh Diplomatic Service and various political parties including Plaid Cymru and the Welsh LIberal Democrats. Many items are undated.

Material relating to the AAM's campaign to seek support for their "Manifesto for Sanctions" proposals by General Election candidates in the 1987 and 1992 UK General Elections, in opposition to the current government policy on sanctions against South Africa. File includes copies of letters, the AAM Manifesto, briefing papers and campaign documents.

Twinning with ANC regions,

Briefing papers, circulars, printed material and some letters relating to the campaign to twin regions of the AAM with regions of the ANC. The campaign to twin the Wales Anti-Apartheid Movement (WAAM) Region with the African National Congress (ANC) Western Cape Region was continued by Action For Southern Africa (ACTSA) following the dissolution of WAAM.

Time to act,

AAM briefing documents relating to the launch of a national campaign "Southern Africa: The Time to Act" which called for a fundamental change in British policy towards Southern Africa. Also a WAAM conference programme and flyers, 'Apartheid - Time to Act', 1990.

Strike at Dunnes stores,

Material relating to WAAM support for workers of Dunnes Stores (Dublin), on strike in support of colleagues suspended for refusing to handle South African goods. Includes letters, press cuttings and a copy of AAM Boycott Special, December 1984.
