Fame Tomorrow

Ifor Thomas stands in front of an interested class of students, holding up a print of a night time scene. Behind him is an array of prints.

[Gower views]

A contact print of four images taken on 6 x 6 cm negatives. Two are of farms, one of a black and white timbered house, the other is of Worms Head seen from a distance.

[Joy in a Gingham Dress]

Joy Thomas in a gingham dress sitting near a window. Her chin is resting in her left hand and her eyes looking towards the bottom left of the photograph. A net curtain in front of the window has cast a pattern over her face echoing the pattern on her dress.

[Smallholding]

A small, whitewashed farmhouse and outbuildings with a neatly tended vegetable garden behind. A farmer and chickens can be seen in the foreground. Location unknown, possibly on the Gower.

[Ifor's Brother, Father & Uncles]

Three elderly men sitting on the ground, the one in the centre with a sheepdog. On their right is a younger man, standing, in a police uniform. The latter is believed to be Ifor's brother Vernon, the three men his father and uncles.

[Fruit sellers]

Two cutouts of the same Jamaican fruitseller mounted on card. One is substantially bigger than the other creating an illusion of perspective.
