Correspondence, 1924-1929, mainly relating to the National Eisteddfod Folk Song competition for the Iorwerth Glyndwr John Shield, and includes a letter from Dora Herbert Jones. A letter from Sir Walford Davies, 1929, refers apparently to the publication of the second part of the series of song books for schools by the Council of Music.

This sequence is followed by an index to journals relating to Welsh music and collections of early Welsh poetry, together with cards noting historical landmarks, 178-949 AD.
Notes of a lecture relating to the Welsh 'Hwyl', delivered at Denbigh, 1934; another recorded in Dr Walford Davies's musical 'At Home' programme; and a lecture entitled 'Pregethwyr a'u Lleisio', delivered at Bala, December 1922. Preparatory notes and other related papers include comments on the characteristics of contemporary Welsh preachers.
