Renshaw Street Chapel Sunday schools,

Two volumes containing material relating mainly to Renshaw Street Chapel Sunday Schools, Mount Pleasant, Liverpool, 1874-1889. The first volume consists mainly of a copy, in the form of loose leaves guarded in, of [George Eyre Evans's] printed work on the subject published in a limited edition of five hundred under the title Happy Hours of Work and Worship (Liverpool, 1889). Supplementary to this, pasted in, etc., are miscellaneous letters, photographs, printed items, press cuttings, etc. The second volume contains letters to George Eyre Evans, 1878-1895, the majority being correspondence dated 1889 relating to the aforementioned volume.
