Letters to Roberts of Bryn y neuadd

The series comprises letters to Catherine Roberts and other members of the Roberts family at Bryn y neuadd and Varchwel, 1705-1752, Humphrey Roberts of Bryn y neuadd, 1721-1736, and his wife, Dorothy, 1728-1757.

Diaries of George Griffith

The series comprises diaries of George Griffith. The diary for 1827 covers January-May, and all the others cover January-December for their respective years.

School papers, certificates and appointments

The series comprises certificates and other papers relating to the ordination, clerkship and appointments of Hugh Hughes of Weeg, 1746, and members of the Griffith family, namely Robert Griffith, George Griffith, 1811-1834, and William Douglas Wynne Griffith , 1915-1920, and a roll of Ruthin school which includes two of the Griffith children, 1803.

The series comprises sketch maps of Garn estate land at Rhuddlan, being an enclosure of marsh purchased in 1803 and a parcel received in an exchange with the Dean of St Asaph, 1806.

The series comprises deeds relating to properties in the parish of Llanrwst, 1575-1801, including Llwyn Gronw and Cae'rberllan, which were acquired through the marriage of Jane Hughes to John Griffith (3) of Garn in 1762.

The series comprises letters by non-family correspondents to John Griffith (2) of Garn, 1733-1758, John Griffith (3), 1758-1791, Jane Griffith, 1761-1805, and Ann Maria Griffith, 1785. Recurrent subjects are management of the Denbighshire estate, problems surrounding the purchase of Gwaun Dwysog in Henllan, and the education of the young John Wynne Griffith.
