Stray memorabilia, 1900-2008, collected by Ruth Nixon, mainly inherited from her mother Jennifer Longford. Many derive from Lloyd George or Frances Stevenson. They include legal documents, reminiscences and memoirs, autograph books, cartoons, printed items and press cuttings of especial interest.

Letters and telegrams, November-December 1935, mainly from their Churt home sent to D. Lloyd George and Frances during their visit to Tangiers. The file includes a letter from A. J. Sylvester and several from Ann Parry.

The file includes papers relating to the erection and running of the Lloyd George Museum at Llanystumdwy, and to the appointment of Miss Ann Parry as its curator. There is also a typescript list of the sympathy letters received on 30 and 31 March 1945 following Lloyd George's death.

Comprises ten studio photographs of Colonel T. F. Tweed, c. 1935, taken by Howard Coster, 8 Essex Street, Strand, London WC2, together with a press cutting, 1940, noting the amount of Colonel Tweed's estate.

The file contains miscellaneous stray letters written by various members of the Lloyd George family, mainly to Frances Stevenson. The file includes letters from William George (14), 1933-1964, Edna Lloyd-George [1930s], Gwilym Lloyd-George (4), 1918-1920 and 1946, Megan Lloyd George [1930s], Owen Lloyd George, 3rd earl Lloyd-George of Dwyfor (2), 1964-1969, Richard Lloyd-George, second earl Lloyd-George of Dwyfor (2), 1939, and Gladwyn, Lady Goronwy Owen, 1970. These are all stray letters and have no common theme. They include a few references to political developments and events. Some give family news.

The letters relate to the writer's researches on Lord Hankey and seek Frances Stevenson's assistance in identifying photographs and understanding references in Hankey's diaries.

The letters, written at Tŷ Newydd, Llanystumdwy, between October and December 1944, contain mainly personal, local and domestic news, including many references to Lloyd George and to the welcome which they have received in the village. There are some references to events at Llanystumdwy.

The file contains letters discussing the management of the Llanystumdwy Museum and local property, give news of various members of the family, and refer to events to commemorate Lloyd George and to members of the Lloyd George family.

The letters from Sir Stuart give personal, family and domestic news. Those from Sylvia comment on The Years that are Past (1967) and on her mother's death.

The senders include Bob Boothby, 1967, Winston S. Churchill (4), 1954-1963, King George V, 1931, and Jan Smuts, 1950.

Correspondence with publishers and literary agents relating to the proposed publication of articles and works written by D. Lloyd George, notably the War Memoirs, and an article entitled 'Why the Jew is persecuted'.

Carbon copies of letters sent to Frances in response to the proposal that a Lloyd George Memorial College might be established in North Wales, together with an original letter from Violet Carruthers (Markham). The file includes letters from Lord Altrincham, Clement Attlee, Lady Astor, Sir Winston Churchill, Sir Stafford Cripps, E. Clement Davies, Margaret Greenwood, Professor W. J. Gruffydd, Herbert Morrison, Harold Nicholson, Sir Herbert Samuel and George Tomlinson. All the writers express their reluctance and hesitation to associate themselves with the proposal. Some of the letter writers expand on their reasons for declining to support the suggestion and reflect on Lloyd George's life, career and contribution.

The letters contain family and personal news, and often make arrangements for visits and engagements. There are also a few references to political news and events.

The letters relate to the preparation of Frances's various wills, the sale of the Lloyd George Papers to Lord Beaverbrook in 1949-1950, the management of Frances's properties at Churt and at Llanystumdwy, the letters patent of the peerage awarded to Lloyd George in 1945, and the execution of a deed of gift to Frances's sister Muriel.
