An unidentified low-lying small island photographed from "Sabrina." The island appears to have a fortification on it's only promontory.

[Seascape]

A moderately rough sea photographed from a ship. The image is spoiled by drying marks on the original negative.

Photographs taken by A J Sylvester of David Lloyd George, his families and entourage. The majority are of motoring holidays and cruises to mainland Europe. Included are his cruise on 'Sabrina' in 1929 and recalled in chapter 14 of 'The Real Lloyd George' by A J Sylvester (London, 1947).Others are of D Ll G's estate at Churt.

112 copy photographs of David Lloyd George and family including trips to Portugal in 1934, Morocco in 1936, Brazil in 1928 as well as photos of C19th documents relating to his family and photos of fruit trees, the latter probably at Churt.

Includes photos of a trip to Portugal in January 1934 including a number of photos of David and Gwilym Lloyd George playing golf. This could be the game of golf referred to in AJS's diary entry for Jan 26th 1934 "LG & Mr Perkins, the Secretary of Estoril Golf Club played Sir Claud Russell, the British Ambassador in Lisbon and Gwilym. LG's side lost 2 and 1." There are also a number of photos of a trip to Morrocco in 1936, including some of Winston Churchill and an excursion to see the Caid Brahim El Glaoui at Telouet on Jan 13th 1936.
