On page 160 of 'The Real Lloyd George' (London, 1947) A J Sylvester writes "As usual, he wrote these in his own hand whilst sitting wrapped up in rugs on the deck." This photo is believed to be from his 1927-8 visit to Brazil and taken aboard the Blue Star Liner 'Avelona.'
