Writ from the Court of Exchequer to the sheriff of co. Denb., to imprison and seize the lands and tmt's of John Roberts, late of Liverpool, grocer, now of Abergele, co. Denb., gent., who owes £255. 10. 0 to Thomas Banning of Liverpool, gent.
Writ from the Court of Exchequer to the sheriff of co. Denb., being an order to deliver possession of leasehold premises in Minera and Esclusham, co. Denb., including m's called Coedway, Hay Glasse or Brin Llandis, and Pant Dwll in Minera (occupants and acreages given), together with goods, chattels and effects including several steam engines (all of which are named), to Sarah Margaret Topping, widow; the said premises and goods, formerly in the occupation of John Halt Noble of Laurence Pountney Hill, London, merchant, Henry Hunt of the same place, merchant, John Bally of Brislington near Bristol, esq., dec., and Charles James of Minera, gent., were seized by the exchequer because default had been made in the repayment of a loan of £7,000 in Exchequer Bills; an inquisition was taken at the Town Hall, Wrexham, g Feb. 1825, by virtue of a Writ of Extent issued by the Court of Exchequer.

Will (probate copy, with codicils dated 24 May and 8 June 1658) of Morris ap Richard of Lledrode, p. Llansilin, co. Denb., gent. Bequeaths the sum of £300 (reduced to £200, under certain conditions, in the first codicil) to his daughter Anne, to be paid by his son Thomas within 7 years after his decease. Until the said sum is paid, his daughter Anne is to occupy his m. in t. Lledrode, p. Llansilin, and then his son Thomas shall occupy the said property. Bequeaths £50 to be equally divided between the children of his son David within 10 years after his decease, and directs that David shall occupy the m. called Havodire in t. Lledrode, after the end of 10 years until the said sum of £50 be fully paid. Numerous bequests to relatives and others including 'poore people that are aged lame or younge people that are unable to worke and have noe meanes to live upon'. Included with this Will is a typescript letter, dated 24 Feb. 1926, from Alderman E. D. Hughes, JP, Wrexham, to R. H. G. Smallwood, relating to the above Will and the testator's descendants. Devises all his m's and lands in Brymbo, Mynera and Ruiton [Royton], co. Denb., to his daughter Elizabeth, wife of Richard Myddelton, and bequeaths to Anne Lloyd, daughter of his son Ffoulke, an annuity of £10 issuing out of the profits of his lease in Bers[ham], which he holds from Sir Thomas Myddleton, kt, dec. Other bequests to relatives and others.

Bequeaths 'one feather bed and all my wearing aparel and likewise all my flowers and flower pots' to his son John Weal, and the residue of his personal estate to his son-in-law Thomas Jones for his life, and then to his two nieces, Peggy and Sarah Jones (cf. no. 472).
