The correspondents include Sir William Jenkins, MP, and Tudor E. Watkins. There is also a cutting from the South Wales Supplement to The Wheatsheaf, June 1934, noting the appointment. The correspondence includes a stray letter from 'JJ', Cwm-gors, Gwauncaegurwen, to James Griffiths, 29 January 1926, discussing in detail the problems of the coal industry and the miners.
