Devises to his eldest daughter, Susannah Griffiths, m's called Cwmyrhaiad, Galltyblader, Cwmcemrhiew Issa, Cwmcemrhiew Ucha, Bryncynfil, Abertrinant, Tymawr, Glaspwll, Bwlch Hyddgan, Penrhiew and Mownog, Cefnswellan, Havodwnog Fach and Trawsllechwedd, all in p. Machynlleth, co. Mont. (occupants named), m's in or adjoining Pentrerhedin Street, in the town of Machynlleth (occupants named), a tmt. and sheepwalk called Llyestcutta in p. Llanbadarn Fawr, co. Card. (occupant named), for life, and after the determination of that estate during her lifetime to the use of John Edwards of Machynlleth, esq., during the life of the said Susannah in trust, and after her decease to her first son (further uses specified); to his wife, Sarah, a m. in Pentrerhedin Street in the town of Machynlleth, in the occupation of Evan Jones, butcher, for life, and after her decease to the said Susannah for life, and after the determination of that estate during the lives of either of them to the use of the said John Edwards, during their lives, in trust, and after their decease to Susannah's first and other sons (further uses specified), with liberty to cut down timber on the said lands for building and repairs; bequests include £12,000 in trust for the maintenance of the testator's two younger daughters. Appoints that in addition to the payment of £500 to each of his dau's Jane and Mary, according to his marriage settlement, sums of £300 and twenty guineas be paid to them upon attaining the age of 21 years or upon their marriage; appoints that all his manors, lands and tmt's after the death of his son Charles without male issue, for raising a sum of £500 for his dau's, should remain to the use of Jane for 99 years, then to the use of trustees (named) in order to preserve the contingent remainders (further uses specified); directs that his son Charles should settle and convey man. Parke Littice and other premises purchased from Baron Schiverin and his trustees, being the lands of Lady Morgan, dec., in p's Lanover, Langiew, Llanllowell and Uske, co.
