Ferndale & Blanchinn[sic]

Copies of two photographs by Martin Ridley, one a general view of Ferndale, original negative number 6477; the other looks like a village in the South Wales Valleys and appears to be titled 'Blanchinn', original negative number 6480. This image shows a chapel, terraced houses, railway lines and hills behind.

Penarth Pier

View from the pier looking towards Penarth with numerous people in the middle distance. This appears to be a copy by Ridley of one of his postcards.

High Street, Penydarren

A view of the High Street with tramlines running down the road and the Talbot Inn in the foreground. A group of people are standing in the middle distance watching the photographer.

[Holton Road, Barry & an unidentified rural scene]

Copies of two views - a street scene in which shops 'T G Tibbetts' and 'Follicks' (pawnbrokers) are prominent and a rural scene. Kelly's Trades Directory for 1901 lists Follicks pawnbrokers at 44 Holton Road, Barry and T G Tibbetts, Grocer at no. 46.
