Original bundle of letters relating to a case between William Williams and John Davies, without supplying many details. Mrs Williams, the defendant's wife, was the plaintiff's sister. The defendant would prove that his wife was only away from her work for a fortnight during a confinement, and if the plaintiff would not accept the £15 10s. paid into court, Roberts & Evans were to obtain evidence from the defendant's sister, Mrs Jane Williams of Ffos-y-bleiddiaid, Ystradmeurig. A separate writ was issued in a case of Mrs Williams v. Davies. Both were settled by arbitration.

Original bundle of papers relating to an action in the Queen's Bench between Morgan Morgans of Blaenmarchnant, p. Gwnnws Uchaf, farmer (plaintiff), and Hugh Williams of Dderw, p. Ysbyty Ystwyth, farmer (defendant), and counter-action, relating to encroachments on the farm of Dderw, p's Ysbyty Ystwyth and Ysbyty Ystradmeurig. Williams contends that the encroachment was on his Dderw sheepwalk, while Morgans contends it is on Esgair amber otherwise Rhosfach y Dderw, a portion of the sheepwalk to which Dderw has never gained a title.
