Original annual bundles of receipted accounts of Watkins Pulleyn & Ellison of Grays Inn Square, London, solicitors, acting as agents on behalf of Roberts & Evans, mainly relating to probate cases, but including a few legal actions and property searches. The accounts include those for Edward Jones of Montevideo, dec., 1920; Sir John Williams, bart, dec., 1926; Sir John Ballinger, 1933, and Amy Amelia Ballinger, dec., 1934. The account for Stephen Jones, dec., 1922, includes ‘Attending to lodge papers but copy in red ink of the will in the Welsh language was required as it was written in pencil’. Also proving the right of the present earl to the title of earl of Lisburne, 1925.

Agreements to make watercourses for lead mines in p's Llanbadarn Fawr and Caron,

Draft and copy agreements to make watercourses through farms called Ffrwd-ddu, p. Llanbadarn Fawr, Abbey Farm, p. Caron, and farms called Erwtomau and Tynyfron, p. Llanbadarn Fawr, for the working, respectively of the Cothig or Aberffrwd [lead] mines, [the Abbey lead] mines, the Rhiwrhygoes or Erwtoman [lead] mines and the Caecynnon [lead] mines.

Pre-nuptial settlement of Alban Gwynne of Monachty, esq., lieutenant in the 1st Regiment of Royal Dragoons, and Mary Edith Harford of Blaise Castle, co. Glos., spinster, including a schedule of the Monachty estate in p's Henfynyw, Llannarth, Llanbadarn Trefeglwys, Llanddewi Aber-arth and Llansanffraid (scedule 1), and properties in p's Henfynyw, Llanbadarn Trefeglwys and Llanddewi Aber-arth (schedules 2-3). Includes, loose, an appointment of new trustees and discharge of the surviving trustee of the principal indenture, 3 Aug. 1901.

Alban Lewis Thomas Jones Gwynne and Jane Crawshay Bailey marriage settlement,

Pre-nuptial settlement of Alban Lewis Thomas Jones Gwynne, late of Mynachdy, but now of Islington, esq., and Jane Crawshay Bailey of Nant-y-glo, co. Mon., spinster, including schedules of the Mynachdy estate in p's Llanbadarn Trefeglwys, Llansanffraid, Nancwnlle, Llandysul, Henfynyw, Llanddewi Aber-arth, Llangwyryfon and Llanrhystud, and Aberaeron ground rents (schedule 1), and the Dolaeron estate in p's Llanddewi Aber-arth and Henfynyw (schedule 2). Also includes the appointment of a new trustee, 1871.

Albert Edward Davies of South Road, Aberystwyth,

Original bundle of deeds, 1837-1906, mainly mortgages and assignments of the same, relating to a parcel of land in Maesglas (afterwards South Road), Aberystwyth, and a m. erected thereon called The Chain & Anchor, and to dwelling houses in Shipbuilders Road and Penmaesglas Road, together with receipts, 1902-1909, and an insurance policy of 25 South Road taken out by Albert Edward Davies of the same, fishmonger, 1924. Bundle originally labelled 'Old Deeds relating to 25 South Road Aberystwyth'.
