Mer., widow, Dec. 1852; legacy receipt papers of David Lewis of Brookfield, Cardigan, surgeon, June 1855-Aug. 1858; and papers relating to the sale of the Prince Llewelyn Inn, Bridge Street, Aberysywyth, by Leopold David Lewis to Miss Mary Morice, including an abstract of title (1823-1855), 1865.

Rev. Richard Roberts,

Half-yearly rentals of the estate of Rev. Richard Roberts, comprising six houses in Aberystwyth, Llwyncelin in Llanddewibrefi, and a house in Carmarthen, Michaelmas 1828-Michaelmas 1839. From Nov. 1830, there is an account headed 'Miss Jane Roberts' containing the Ivy Bush public house in Lampeter. The Carmarthen house and one of the Aberystwyth houses disappear after Michaelmas 1831. At the rear of the volume is an account of disbursements by John Hughes on account of Rev. Richard Roberts, March 1829-Jan. 1840, when the balance was paid to Mr Roberts.

Elizabeth Ann Price of Dolgadfan, co. Mont.,

Papers relating to the estate of Elizabeth Ann Price, wife of William Price of Dolgadfan, co. Mont., esq., due to her daughter Mary Ann Elizabeth Evans, including an abstract of William Price and Elizabeth Ann Evans's marriage settlement, a copy of the Elizabeth Ann Price's will (dated 1825), [1848 watermark], and half-year rentals of Miss Evans's estate, Michaelmas 1825-Lady Day 1827, [1848 watermark]. William Price declined to take out administration of his wife's will, lest a stronger claim should come against him for the arrears due to his wife's daughter since the death of her father, his wife having spent a sum of £1,500 left by the father for the daughter, as well as the whole of the income of her daughter's estate.

Davies, by now of [Margrove?] Rectory, and including relating to the sale of the Ynys-hir estate, 1873.

Daniel Jones of Cross Street, Bow Street, p. Llanfihangel Genau'r-glyn,

Original bundle of deeds relating to the leasehold premises of Daniel Jones of Cross Street, Bow Street, collier, comprising a lease for 99 years from the earl of Lisburne to Hugh Jones, of Pengam and part of a field called Clwt y ddwyffordd in Bow Street, both p. Llanfihangel Genau'r-glyn, 1836, and an assignment of the same to the said Daniel Jones, 1907. Original wrapper marked 'Mr Daniel Jones'.

Cardiganshire Conservative Association,

Papers relating to the Cardiganshire Conservative Association, comprising a printed poster for a public meeting at Aberystwyth town hall to discover the persons who damaged property in the town on the 18th or 19th May 1837, letters relating to the Carmarthenshire and Cardiganshire county elections, July 1837, and resolutions of meetings, Feb. 1847-March 1849.

Original bundle of papers relating to the trusts declared in the will of John Davies of Aberystwyth, draper, in favour of his grandson John Davies Allen Ellis of Dorset House, 6 Alfred Place, Aberystwyth, including receipts for payments of shares in the Aberystwyth Gas & Coke Company, 1838; conveyance to the said John Davies of farms called Penglanowen otherwise Penglanowen fawr, Hen Felin and Lletty'r ginger otherwise Lletty shin-shire, all p. Executorship papers of the estate of John Jones of p. Henfynyw, master of the schooner 'Economy' of Cardigan, comprising probate of his will, 1840 (includes bequests of shares in several ships); legacy duty receipts, receipts for payments of legacies and accounts, including an account of the profit and loss of the sloop 'Diligence', 1839-1840, and legacy receipts relating tithe estate of the said John Jones's son, Thomas Jones of Aberystwyth, ropemaker, 1854-1856.

Original bundle of papers, mainly 1852-1853, relating to the establishment of the society, including a schedule of Aberystwyth shipowners (101 names) agreeing to form a society with articles of partnership similar to those of the Porthmadog club, Jan. 1852; draft manuscript and printed 'Abstract of the deed of settlement of the Aberystwyth Mutual Ship Insurance Society', 1852-1853; certificate of provisional registration by the registrar of joint stock companies, April 1853.
