Letter from W. E. Gladstone,

Respecting provisions to be made on the marriage of H. W. Gladstone with Maud E. Rendel; it was agreed that, while there was to be no marriage settlement, W. E. Gladstone was to make his son a gift of £20,000 and Rendel was to provide an income of £800 per annum for his daughter.
