Barddoniaeth,

A composite volume containing poetical compositions by Hugh Evans ('Hugh Eryri') [or 'Hywel Eryri': cf. Cwrt-mawr MS 466B], some dated 1826-8 (26 pp., repaired, incomplete); transcripts in various hands of poetry by [Thomas Williams] 'Twm Pedrog' (torn) and of a cywydd by Dafydd Nanmor; 'Duhuddiant i Eben Fardd a'i deulu ar farwolaeth ei eneth ieuangaf - Elizabeth, Medi - 1858' by [Robert Hughes] 'Robyn Wyn' (?holograph); transcripts of poetical compositions by [Evan Pritchard] 'Ieuan Llyn' or 'Ieuan ap Rhisiart'; part of an exercise-book bearing the names of R. Prys Morris, Dolgelley and Myrddin Fardd, Chwilog; and fragments including pedigrees of Bod Ilan (Llanvihangel y Pennant), Y Plas yngheiswyn (Talyllyn), Ynys y Maengwyn ynhowyn Meirionydd and Pughe of Mathafarn, taken from Lewis Dwnn.

Cofrestri enwogion,

A manuscript in the hand of Thomas Richards, Darowen containing biographical lists of eminent personages such as Biblical characters, Roman emperors, saints and bishops, Christian writers, astronomers, writers on British and Welsh history, the translators of the Bible into Welsh, etc. Among the list titles are 'Cofrestr Enwau Oedran ac amser marwolaeth y Gwyr enwog canlynol', '... enwau Astronomyddion, Beirniedyddion, Dysgedigion, Hanesyddion, Hynafieithyddion, Philosyphyddion, Rhyfelwyr a Phrydyddion, o amrywiol Genhedlaethau, y rhai a fuant fyw cyn a chwedi Genedigaeth Crist', '... amryw Ddynion hirhoedlog iawn mewn amryw Wledydd Sefyllfaodd ac amgylchiadau', '... enwau yr hen Awduron Brutanaidd ...', 'Ychydig hanes yr Awdwyr mwyaf hynod a ysgrifennasant am y Brutaniaid yn yr Ynys hon ...', '... enwau y Gwyr rhagorol, a fu yn offerynol yn Llaw Dduw i Gyfieithu'r Ysgrythur lan ir Gymraeg ...' and 'Hanes yr Ysgrifenyddion a gadwasant goffadwriaethau y Cymry, au gweithredoed[d]. Yn ol tystiolaeth Lewis Dwnn'. Among the papers pasted on the fly-leaves and end-papers is a plan of the road from Darowen to Berriew in the hand of Angharad Llwyd. The scribe's name on the upper fly-leaf is dated 1820.

Material towards a Life of Morgan Llwyd,

A notebook containing rough material compiled by J. H. Davies towards a life of Morgan Llwyd ('o Wynedd'; 1619-59), being largely in the form of abstracts and extracts from public records, from manuscripts in the British Museum, in the Cardiff Central Library, and in the National Library of Wales, from wills in the Bangor Probate Registry and from printed sources, notably Lewys Dwnn (ed. S. R. Meyrick): Heraldic Visitations of Wales (Llandovery, 1846). Also included in the volume are entries from the parish register [of Llangower] and copies of inscriptions in Llangower churchyard, 1772-1847, relating to members of the family of Thomas Edward Ellis, MP.

Pedigrees

Llŷn and Eifionydd pedigrees transcribed by John Jones ('Myrddin Fardd'). The following note in pencil occurs on the first page: 'Copiwyd yr oll o'r Llyfr hwn o Lewis Dwn'. Loose in the volume is a pedigree of Anwyl of Parkie, Criccieth in the autograph of W[illia]m W. E. Wynne of Peniarth, 1878. Letter 'O' on spine.

Powys Fadog, 6 vols (London, 1881-7), and Archaeologia Cambrensis, with some additional references, especially pedigree details from strict metre poems.
