A large modern house with a slate roof and dormer windows. The house is approached by a drive lined with roses. A plaque on the front of the building, visible in slide 4690/216, has the wording 'Republica Argentina' & an unidentified logo. This may be the house of Don Diego Neill, Intendente of Los Alerces National Park with whom Kyffin Williams stayed for a time in December 1968. See slide 4690/216 for another view of this house.

This may be the house of Don Diego Neill, Intendente of Los Alerces National Park with whom Kyffin Williams stayed for a time in December 1968. On pages 190-191 of 'A Wider Sky' (Gomer, 1991) KW recalls sketching on the shore of Lake Fagnano, the most southerly lake in the world. This photograph was probably taken on that expedition. Slide 4690/243 is similar.
