[Farmhouse & outbuildings]

A two storey farmhouse flanked by stone outbuildings. In the left foreground is a low rocky outcrop that gives shelter to a partly visible cottage.

[Penmon Cross IV]

This is a 10th century pillar cross seen here outside in situ in Penmon Park. To protect it from the ravages of time it has now been moved inside Pemnon Priory where it is on display.

[Elderly couple, Dolavon]

An elderly couple in the doorway of their home, no 223 La Paz 1918, Dolavon. However the man is partially in deep shade. The couple are also in 4689/178.

[Barn and poplars]

This is the barn off Avenida John D Evans, Trevelin photographed in 4689/196 & 4689/198. It is also the barn mentioned in 'A Wider Sky' on page 194 "...and so I continued until, one day, I drew onto a canvas an old wooden barn that stood off the Avenida John D Evans. I started to paint and as I did the colours became grey and dull. It was my forty-fifth canvas and I knew the spell was broken. I never painted another picture of Patagonia."
