In the middle distance a row of trees are silhouetted against the sky, in which clouds of rich orange and red colours grow darker towards the right of the frame.
In the foreground are wooden fences, a paddock and an outbuilding beyond which is a small cliff, perhaps twenty metres in height. The cliff appears to be made of igneous rock in which some jointing is visible. Possibly represents a geological fault.

On page 162 of 'A Wider Sky' (Gomer, 1991) Kyffin Williams recalls seeing horses standing patiently outside a bar at Languineo with huge saddles of sheepskin on their backs waiting for their Indian riders. Languineo is about 150 km from Esquel on the road to Gaiman. Slide 4690/292 is almost identical, though scratched.
