[Rock formations at Lle Cul]

A large piece of limestone has become detached from the cliff face giving the impression of a tower. Slides 4689/31 & 32 are variants of this view.

Senor Llewelyn Griffith

Head and shoulders portrait of an elderly man wearing spectacles and a grey fedora. He also features in Slide 4689/56. A print of this is believed to have been shown at 'Lluniau o Batagonia' at Llangefni Central Library in 1982. The sitter is believed to be either Senor Llewelyn Griffith or Senor Euros Hughes. PB7040 in the NLW collection is an oil painting 'Euros Hughes irrigating his fields' in which Euros Hughes is wearing a straw hat and stands near an irrigation ditch. Due to the similarity between the painting and slide 4689/95 it is possible to ascertain that 'Senor Llewelyn Griffith' is the title of this photograph and not 'Senor Euros Hughes'

[House, Gaiman]

A wide road leads to a neat, one storey, stone built, house with yellow paintwork. Slide 4689/53 is of the same house.

[Mr & Mrs Evan Owen Williams]

Portrait of a man wearing a blue shirt and braces standing next to his bespectacled wife. Believed to be the print shown at 'Lluniau o Batagonia' at Llangefni Central Library in 1982 titled 'Senor & Senora Evan Owen Williams'

[Rear view of undistinguished buildings]

Appears to show light industrial buildings photographed from a slightly elevated viewpoint. A stand of poplars are visible in the middle distance. Probably in Gaiman. See also 4689/58 for another view of the same buildings.

[Undistinguished buildings]

A view of the rear of what appear to be light industrial premises taken from a slightly elevated viewpoint. Trees are visible in the middle distance. Probably in Gaiman. See also 4689/57 for another view of the same buildings.

[Crude waterwheel, Dolavon]

A water-wheel made out of tin cans and pieces of scrap wood on a shaded irrigation ditch in Dolavon. Slide 4689/109 is a variant of this.

[Dirt track leading to a farm]

A one storey mud-built farmhouse sheltered by a stand of poplars. The white car parked in front of the farmhouse may well be the 'small white car' belonging to Glyn Ceiriog Hughes, who acted as Kyffin's guide to the Gaiman/ Dolavon / Trelew area. The car is mentioned on p136 of 'A Wider Sky' (Gomer 1991).
