[Cliff showing polygonal basalt columns]

Looking up at a waterfall cascading over a small escarpment, Los Alerces National Park. See also 4690/195 & 4690/197-198 for other views of the same waterfall.

Native horses, Languineo

Five horses, all saddled, waiting for their riders to return.

On page 162 of 'A Wider Sky' (Gomer, 1991) Kyffin Williams recalls seeing horses standing patiently outside a bar at Languineo with huge saddles of sheepskin on their backs waiting for their Indian riders. Languineo is about 150 km from Esquel on the road to Gaiman. Slide 4690/292 is almost identical, though scratched.

[Mud houses]

This location broadly fits the description of Languineo, a stop on the road from Esquel to Gaiman and mentioned on page 162 of 'A Wider Sky' (Gomer, 1991).
