[Evening sky II]

A mountainous horizon at the bottom of the frame overshadowed by clouds of various shades of purple.

[Gorsedd y Cwmwl]

In the foreground vegetation (including tall grasses and a type of Cow Parsley) beyond which can be seen Gorsedd y Cwmwl.

[Vintage car and horse]

A quiet street on which a vintage car is parked on the side nearest the photographer and a saddled bay horse left in the company of a sheepdog on the other.

Evening about Trevelin

This is a view of grassland taken from a low viewpoint looking towards a sun bleached wooden fence. Above are dark grey storm clouds.

[Two men, two horses and a dog]

Two men in work clothes standing on a pavement. On their right are two horses tethered to a hitching post. A dog is lying on the pavement. Behind the men a dirt road heads off into open countryside.

[Hawk / Falcon]

A small hawk or falcon, light brown in colour, photographed in flight above poplar trees. See also slides 4690/136, 138-139

[River]

A meandering river with a braided channel. The direction of flow is away from the camera and to the right of the frame. Steep banks on each side suggest the meander is incised, consistent with an area of tectonic uplift such as South America.

[Error]

A view of distant mountains with a meadow in the foreground. In the middle distance a flock of large white birds are flying low over the fields.

[Snow-covered mountains]

A chain of mountain peaks photographed from a distance. In the foreground is a shrub, possibly a Chilean fire tree. Probably taken by KW when staying with Don Diego Neill in the Los Alerces National Park. See pages 178-182 of 'A Wider Sky' (Gomer, 1991)

[Mountain peaks]

Jagged mountain peaks flecked with snow. The lower slopes have a thick cover of vegetation. Probably taken by KW when staying with Don Diego Neill in the Los Alerces National Park. See pages 178-182 of 'A Wider Sky' (Gomer, 1991).

[Two mountain peaks]

Two mountain peaks about to be engulfed by low cloud. Probably taken by KW when staying with Don Diego Neill in the Los Alerces National Park. See pages 178-182 of 'A Wider Sky' (Gomer, 1991)

[Two caged pumas]

Two pumas in an enclosure, one sitting, one lying down. Taken on a visit to Senor Nores Martinez residence, Esquel. See p182-183 of 'A Wider Sky' (Gomer, 1991) for an account of this visit.

[Puma in captivity - blurred]

A tethered puma lying on the floor of it's enclosure. Taken on a visit to Senor Nores Martinez residence, Esquel. See p182-183 of 'A Wider Sky' (Gomer, 1991) for an account of this visit.

[Puma]

A photograph that would be an excellent close up of a puma if it had been correctly exposed. Taken on a visit to Senor Nores Martinez residence, Esquel. See p182-183 of 'A Wider Sky' (Gomer, 1991) for an account of this visit.
