A dark bay and a saddled chestnut horse tethered to a pole. Behind them is a hillside scattered with remains of tree stumps. This photograph fits the description on page 170 of 'A Wider Sky (Gomer 1991) "...up the cliff again, past the stumps of trees that had been snapped in the ferocious winds..."
