Artworks 7

Two magnetic albums each containing reproductions of KW's works. Most are cut from exhibition flyers/catalogues and other publications. Very few are actual photographs. They are overwhelmingly of his better known artworks. There is a certain amount of duplication between the two albums.

Exhibitions, Book launches, etc

115 col photos of JKW in his professional capacity at exhibition openings, broadcasts & book launches etc. Included are a series of photographs by Bernard Mitchell documenting the launch of 'The Land & The Sea' at the National Library of Wales in 1998; 1987 retrospective at Oriel Mostyn; launch of 'A Wider Sky' in 1991; exhibition at Albany Gallery ca.1990 alongside sculptures of Geoffrey Dashwood; exhibition at Thackeray Gallery May 1998 (nos. 4696/16-25)

NB one photo CD of his Patagonia exhibition in Oriel Davies (2005) containing 79 images has been passed to Robert Evans.

Across the Straits

14 b&w photos used in the publication 'Across the Straits' (Gerald Duckworth & Company, 1973) by Kyffin Williams. Most of the photographs are portraits of family members, either reproduced from artworks or from photographs. Includes a number of duplicates.

Patagonia 2

316 mounted 35mm transparencies taken in Patagonia following his award of a Winston Churchill fellowship (Professional). Most are on Kodak film and include Views in Esquel, Puerto Madryn, Parque Nacional Los Alerces.

Diary : 1989,

Collins diary 1989, with engagements for 1990. The volume also contains various notes, including verses and a brief description of the Bolton Studios.

Diary : 1995,

W H Smith diary 1995, with entries for December 1994 and 1996. Also included are biro sketches, lists of works, verses, and lecture notes.

Diary : 1997,

Two pocket diaries 1997, one being a W H Smith diary. The W H Smith diary includes entries for December 1996 and 1998, together with notes about the Welsh landscape, notes outlining his 'Life of tragedy', verses, lists of pictures, and an ink sketch of a figure holding a stick and standing on a rock. The remaining diary contains occasional entries and notes.

Diary : 1999,

WH Smith diary 1999, with entries for December 1998 and 2000. Also included are notes describing his love of Christian art, an account of his stay in hospital, comments on David Woodford, notes relating to 'Art & Reality', and verses.
