The W H Smith diary includes entries for December 1996 and 1998, together with notes about the Welsh landscape, notes outlining his 'Life of tragedy', verses, lists of pictures, and an ink sketch of a figure holding a stick and standing on a rock. The remaining diary contains occasional entries and notes.
WH Smith diary 1999, with entries for December 1998 and 2000. Also included are notes describing his love of Christian art, an account of his stay in hospital, comments on David Woodford, notes relating to 'Art & Reality', and verses.
Diary 2005, including entries for December 2004, verses, and notes which appear to have been intended for the opening of the Royal Cambrian Academy Summer Exhibition attended by Rolf Harris.
