Originally loose documents evidently deriving from Exchequer records: letters to the Lord High Treasurer relating to Welsh musters from the Privy Council and from Commissioners for Musters in the Welsh counties, 1599-1602 (pp. 3-50); receipted petition of John Norden the elder and younger for payment for surveying, 1620 (pp. 51-54); appointment of attorneys for Welsh sheriffs, etc., 1739-1774 (pp. 59-78); return of papists in diocese of St Davids, 1767 (pp. 79-82); etc.
