Achau ac arfau, barddoniaeth,

pp. 1-32 Pedigrees and arms, in Welsh, c. 1600. Begins with Tegeingl mainly N E Wales interest. Two hands, one Richard ap Sion, Scorlegan, to p. 26, the other, pp. 27-32, Simwnt Fychan, pp. 33-80 Welsh poetry, mostly 'canu rhydd', XVIII cent., several hands; pp. 54-66 by Owen Gruffydd, including Marwnad John Williams, Rhosfawr, 1704. On pp. 46-53, in English, a piece written against 'the wicked example of Dr F's Writing' on religion. On p. 44 a verse by Lewis Morris, ?autograph.

A collection of pedigrees in Welsh probably copied in its entirety from an early 16th-cent. compilation from N.E. Wales. Includes many tracts printed by P.C. Bartrum in 'Early Welsh Genealogical Tracts' (Cardiff, Wales, 1966), and elsewhere; tracts include Plant Brychan, Plant yr Arglwydd Rhys, Merched priodolion yr Arglwydd Rhys, Ach Syr Dafydd Gam, Plant Llywarch Hen; also pedigrees coming down to early 16th cent., mainly N.E. Wales. Written in secretary, italic sidenotes. On ff. 15v-17v poetry, some by Humffrey ap Hugh and perhaps in his hand.

Affidavit, unbound in envelope, of Ellen Adshead of Presbury, co. Chester, dated 1690, that a stillborn child of Randle Ridgway was buried in sheep's wool, according to the 'Act for burying in Woollen'.
