Two volumes of extracts made by William Thomas, Parkglas, Carmarthen, from a number of printed and manuscript sources, including the Thurloe State Papers in Dr William's Library, London, the King's Pamphlets in the British Museum, and the Register of Ffaldybrenin and Esgeirdawe during the ministry of the Rev. Rees Jones.

Eisteddfod Melin Ifan Ddu,

Scrapbook which belonged to Edward Thomas, Ogmore Junction Inn, Black Mill, containing 'Cofnodion o Gyfarfodydd Pwyllgor Eisteddfod Melin Ifan Ddu yr hon a gynelir Llun y Sulgwyn 1874', and press cuttings relating to the eisteddfod.

John Bird : Journals,

Journals kept by [? John Bird, 1761-1870, according to a note inside cover of vol. 1]. The compiler kept a book and print shop in Cardiff and was an agent for the Marquess of Bute; vols. 1 and 2 appear to be drafts, the journal being written for his master. Very informative about public and legal matters in Cardiff and the surrounding area, 1790-1803. Vol. 1, 1790-1, vol. 2, 1792-1803; vol. 3, different in character, is a printed 'Marshall's Family Ledger' for 1826 with brief entries. See 'The Diaries of John Bird of Cardiff, clerk to the first Marquess of Bute, 1790-1803' (South Wales Record Society, Cardiff, 1987).
