'Outlines of a Rep[or]t of S[outh] W[ales]' [in the autograph of Walter Davies ('Gwallter Mechain')]. Inside was a note on the methods of Mr M...- with regard to sheep-farming (62a). See MS 19 and also NLW MS 1759B.

A note in which Mr Edward Williams is requested to inform Mr Davies concerning the principal mountains and rivers of co. Glamorgan, the general aspect of the county, etc., and to give a particular account of the parishes of Lantwit Major, Eglwys Brwys, Llanmaes, and Llanblithian, (and) a copy of the burlesque epitaph designed for a parson expected to be buried on Kefn Hirgoed. On the dorse in the autograph of E. W. are two 'tribanau' attributed to Llelo Llantrisaint, 1450.

Lewis Hopkin, Hendre Ifan Goch, to ...--. Thanking him for his good opinion of the 'cywydd.' Agreeing that there is little knowledge of native Welsh versification elsewhere in Wales. Other knowledgeable poets could be named [?in Glamorgan], one of the best being Hywel Lewis of Blaen Cannaid in Merthyr. The state of the Welsh language in Glamorgan. Suggestions for a 'Rural Magazine', written on the back of one folio of a legal document (?draft) in which Wm. Gibbon, Blanch Gibbon, widow of the said Wm. Gibbon, and John Gibbon, his son and heir, are mentioned. Written across part of the sheet is a paragraph beginning, 'Gwilym Gam oedd enw Tad Dafydd ap Gwilym ...' (crossed out).

'Ystên Sioned' (proverbial sayings, etc., attributed to Glamorganshire), followed by 'Llyma Drioedd Pawl o Lyfr J. Jones Hoeliwr, o Gaerdydd.' (Crossed out). Fragile. Torn.

A sheet endorsed by E. W. 'Tri marchog ar ddeg'. Beneath the list of knights is a paragraph beginning 'ye Britains of France abt. ye yr. of Christ 384 ...'. Only the endorsement is in the hand of E. W.

A copy in the autograph of Iolo Morganwg of a letter signed on behalf of the Gwyneddigion Society by 'Aneurin Gwawdryd, Cofiadur y Gymdeithas', to [Owen Jones] thanking him for his great work in printing the ancient literature of Wales. ?Draft.
