An extract headed 'North Briton. No. 66. a Letter signed I. M.', and beginning, 'Mr Macpherson calls the letter a dull performance. ...... Mr M. says that he is known to the world as the Translator of Ossian's Poems ...'.

An account (by E. W.) of the Welsh versification and music, begun at No. 1 Star Court, Chancery Lane and added to at a later date (after 1812). Reference to violations of the Bardic vow.

'Tribanau' (crossed out) attributed to 'Gwilym Dafydd o Aber Cwm y Fuwch ym Morganwg.' The first two are wanting. On the reverse side of part of the sheet is a note beginning, 'Dafydd ap Gwilym has been idiotically ...-- termed the Welsh Ovid ...'. Torn.

Observations by Iolo Morganwg on departing from nature in poetry by the use of ancient mythology. In his view, 'the Language that brings our ideas nearest to nature is doubtless the best, and nothing can be more evident than that, in many instances, the learned languages lead us out of the road of nature, let this be instanced in Poetry ...'.

A note by E. W. explaining why he notices none otherwise than by their proper names only. (Mention of Owen Jones, Wm Owen, etc.)

A note (crossed out) under Suddas-Judas: 'William Owen, a chydag ef Owen Myfyr, a ellir yn gyfiawn eu cymharu a Suddas, pob un, megis a chyfarch teg a chusan, yn bradychu.' This is followed by a list of 24 (?) MSS, concluding, 'and if you had continued your cunning a little, Twrog, and a most interesting MS, the Y[n]iales, with the whole of the Barddas of Llywelyn Sion Trïoedd Bonedd &c. would have been sent you.'

Plans or outlines of poems. No. 20 is headed 'Ode to Midnight, by E. W.', while No. 22 contains an outline (in English) headed, 'Cwynfan Cybydd ar ei wely angau' and extracts 'from Langhorne'. No. 23 in endorsed, 'For 2d. Edition of my Poems'.

(?) A list of the names of 13 subscribers to Poems Lyric and Pastoral (1794). The sheet appears to have been addressed to 'Mrs Carter'.

A list of 'Poems by E. Williams'. On the reverse side is the following couplet: 'And when I'm in humour for making a song Thro' dells and wild thickets I wander along Iolo'.
