Part of a 'cywydd.' On the dorse are three englynion by Iolo Morganwg 'I'r Eos' beginning 'Cân eos yn dlos o dew lwyn - y sydd', (crossed out) and an earlier note, 'Llyman y dangosir meddwl heneiriau Cymraeg.' Torn. Part wanting.

More fragments. On the reverse side (crossed out) are some lines beginning, 'A siriol eneth seirian' ('Iorth. Morganwg yng Haerfynydd (1781)').

Verses (doggerel) beginning, 'There is a man in Cowbridge Town, A consumed Sanculote ...'. The fourth verse begins, 'He's name Is Edward Williams, a Poet and a poor mason', ... (In the autograph of Iolo Morganwg). ?Draft.

A copy of an Inscription to Edward Prichard, rector of Flimston, (d. 22 June 1742) and Margaret, his wife (buried 19 March 1707/8), with a note by E. W. On the dorse are some Welsh stanzas (crossed out).

A letter to Mr Urban answering the observations of Philistor in (?) The Gentleman's Magazine for June and July. Reference to Mr Evans's Collection [i.e. ? Evan Evans, Some Specimens of the Poetry of the Antient Welsh Bards (1764)]. The writer maintains that the difference between the Welsh dialects is not as great as between the dialects of any two English counties, even the adjoining ones of Kent and Middlesex where he has at several times resided many years of his life. He is by birth a Southwalian, but has resided a considerable time in N. Wales, in every county of it, and he dares (to) assert that he knows something of the matter. The N. & S. Walians never experience the least difficulty in conversing with each other. 'The difficulty of translating Taliesin &c. arises from the great number of obsolete words not understood in any part of Wales with regard to the structure of his Language it is purely according to the Silurian, an old Welsh Bard of the 15th century says that Taliesin was born in Tir Iarll.'
