Abstract of the Wills of William Hardwick of the town of Ross, co. Her., grocer, (dated 16 Nov. 1779, pr. 24 Sept. 1780) and Rev. Charles Jones Hardwick of the University of Oxford, clerk (dated 29 June 1797, pr. 9 Aug. 1800). William Hardwick devised all his property (unspecified) in p. Weston Under Penyard, co. Her., to his brother Philip Meakins Hardwick and Joseph Hardwick in trust to pay the marriage portions of his daughters Margaret and Elizabeth, and his property in Ross to his wife Anne for life after the death of his aunt, and after paying the portions and after the death of his wife he devised all his property to his son Charles Jones Hardwick. Rev. Charles Jones Hardwick devised the premises assigned to him by Joseph Hardwick called Treradow, p. [Weston Under Penyard] to his wife for life and a m. called Choppell Tump in the same p. and premises in Ross to his wife and her heirs in trust to sell. (Watermark 1819).
