Writer has two suits in Chancery; he desires recipient, who is in London, to enquire into the state of his affairs; Mr Cator, the surviving trustee to the marriage settlement between writer and his first wife, carries on the suits for him; when writer and his first wife resided in Shrewsbury, they took up some money of one Chapman, who lodged writer in the King's Bench prison; when there 'we' met with one Freeman, a bad man, who fabricated a will as being the will of the late Mrs Boyer, giving all to himself; writer has furnished his attorney, Mr Jackson of No. 9, Coney Court, Gray's Inn, with abundant proof against both.

Writer is old and unfit for hard labour; Dr Davies of Carmarthen kindly mentioned his name to recipient; Mr Watkins, the bearer, will receive any bounty recipient should think proper to give 'me'. P.S. Recipient may mention his name to Mr Lloyd of Glansevin or Sackville Gwynne, esq., of Glanbrane.

Writer cannot relinquish any part of the demand for timber sold off the glebe land without the consent of others; Sir H[enry] Bridgeman will expect to be supplied with gates, etc., from the glebe; there is no one more proper to take care of the money than Mr Bowman.

If writer is not favoured with an answer, he will place the business in legal hands to settle.

[2] Rees William her son. 3 Anne Davies, spinster, [daughter of Margaret David], all of the parish of Llanverbryn, co. Carmarthen. Agreement previous to the marriage of the said Rees William and Anne Davies 'if she will consent thereto'.

... On the trial of the cause between the lessee of Mr Gwynne of Buckland and Maddy in the Breconshire spring sessions, 1807, it was agreed that the lessor should have land in def[endan]t's close called Foesddu; deeds of exchange were then prepared; Maddy has refused to pay the rent to Prichard of Tredommen Court as the agreement was not on stamp; recipient is requested to direct him to pay the rent. Draft.

According to Mary Williams, recipient had ordered her to break the lock, which she did when her mother and Marg[are]t John were with her; her plan is to leave some furniture there in order to distress writer and the man who has taken it. Damaged.

Mr Jenkins, who is absent, will send recipient the acc[oun]t of Lampeter tithes. Damaged.

Writer begs for an answer to his letter of 29 Oct. which enclosed a latitat against Mr Joseph Hay of Llandovery, shopkeeper, for debt and costs.

Writer did not speak to recipient at Bristoll about the Cerrig estate. P.S. Recipient's letter may be intended for Mr W. Weelyams.

Writer wishes to know whether Edw[ar]d Pryse Lloyd, esq., of Glansevin is now living or not. P.S. Mr W[illia]m Williams agrees to put in his answer to the bill.
