Recipient had promised writer's son to remit £18 13s. 7d. due to writer on the estate of the late Mr Walter Phelps.

Writer has desired Mr Hawkswell of Bristol to defer the execution of the commission in James & al. v. Phelps till c. 20-5 Nov.; recipient, who has been named with Herbert Lloyd on the part of the defendant, is requested to assist writer in procuring certain facts.

Writer hopes to have the mistake in Mr Phelps's recovery deed rectified before he goes to Brecon in a fortnight's time; he desires recipient to let the purchasers know of his intention and of his wish to obtain Bank Bills; writer will call on recipient on his way up, and desires him to get ready the deed conveying his purchase from Mr Phelps and his mortgagee Mr Jones [sic].
