Family settlements, papers relating to the family trusts, and abstracts of title of the Williams Wynn family of Wynnstay, 1771-1933, together with an inventory of the Wynnstay settled chattels, [1948]; and a small number of similar documents relating to trusts of other, non-Wynnstay families, 1846-1881. Most of the documents are copies or drafts.

Title deeds and other papers relating to land purchases mainly in Meifod, Montgomeryshire, by Charles Watkin Williams Wynn of Llangedwyn, second son of Sir Watkin Williams Wynn, fourth Baronet, 1582-1837, together with the original schedule compiled in 1849, and an unscheduled deed of Charles Watkin Williams Wynn [the younger] 1853. These deeds were found as a discrete group in six consecutive boxes within the Longueville archive. There is also a single file of financial papers, discovered elsewhere in the Longueville archive, but clearly associated with the purchase of Dyffryn in Meifod and various other monetary matters, 1806-1818.

Deeds and other documents recording sales of Wynnstay land in Caernarfonshire and Denbighshire, 1853-1921, Merioneth, 1858-1860, Montgomeryshire, 1853-1897, Salop, 1851-1853, miscellaneous counties, 1840-1938, and London, 1857. Typically the files include draft or copy agreements for sale and purchase, conveyances, auction notices, sale particulars, conditions of sale, requisitons on title, solicitors’ correspondence and maps or plans. There is a further series of abstracts, schedules, requisitions on title, etc. found with the conveyances and probably accumulated for the purpose of the estate sales and purchases [1771x1789]-1881.

Title deeds relating to properties of the Llwydiarth estate (and some previously belonging to Glascoed) in the county of Montgomery. The files comprise: the commote of Caereinion and parish of Castell Caereinion, 1525-1760; Garthbeibio, 1550-1734; Llanerfyl, 1551-1731; Llanfair Caereinion, 1524-1839; Llanfihangel-yng-Ngwynfa, 1533-1785, 1907; Llangadfan, 1551-1731; Llangynyw, 1542-1701; and Llanwyddelan, Manafon, Welshpool, miscellaneous Llwydiarth deeds, and miscellaneous Montgomeryshire deeds (outsize), 1544-1764. The deeds include numerous leases by the Vaughan family of Llwydiarth, and after the death of Edward Vaughan (d. 1718) by his trustees and family, and later by his surviving daughter, Anne, and her husband, Sir Watkin Williams Wynn.

Title deeds deriving from various estates in Wales and England, which were not part of the main Wynnstay estates. The seven series contain deeds from Wales, 1598-1886; Shrewsbury, 1564-1792; miscellaneous Shropshire parishes, [pre-1290], 1418, 1588-1809; Lincolnshire, 1635-1653, 1814; Gray’s Inn chambers, London, 1623-1694; London and Middlesex, 1634-1785; and miscellaneous English counties, 1348, 1592-1807. The Lincolnshire and London deeds derive from the professional and private interests of Sir Richard Wynn of Gwydir and Sir William Williams of Glascoed. A few of the other deeds concern Sir Richard Wynn and Sir Watkin Williams Wynn but the provenance of the majority has not been discovered.
