Abusive language and breach of the peace by Thomas Lloyd of Wrexham,

Papers from a case brought in the Court of the Quarter Sessions of Denbighshire by David Maurice, the sheriff, against Thomas Lloyd, attorney of Wrexham, for drunken behaviour and insults against the plaintiff and John Jones, his under-sheriff. The defendant also allegedly said that Sir John Wynn had put him to great trouble at the last Quarter Sessions and that he "cared not a fart for him". Papers include a bond for good behaviour, the presentments, jury list, articles outlining the defendant’s misdemeanours, and the indictment, 1675/6.

Various abstracts of title pertaining to the Wynnstay estates as follows: Sir Watkin Williams Wynn to estates in the parish of Oswestry, Salop [c. 1804]; the trustees of the late Sir Watkin Williams Wynn, dec. to estates in Denbighshire and in the parish of Oswestry, 1857, and in Montgomeryshire, 1858; Sir Watkin Williams Wynn to hereditaments in the parish of Ruabon, 1857, to estates in Denbighshire, 1857, to the Llanforda estate, 1881; and Sir Watkin Williams Wynn and the trustees to the Llwydiarth settled estates, 1884. Several of the headings and endorsements have been altered and are not altogether clear.

There are also abstracts of an answer from a Chancery lawsuit brought by Edward Vaughan against David Maurice in 1696, and statements by tenants, 1790.

Abstract of a deed dated 26 March 1842 executed by Sir Watkin Williams Wynn, Bart., for barring the estate tail in estates in the counties of Denbigh, Flint and Salop delivered to purchasers of not exceeding £500, 1857; the only properties specified are Glascoed and Pentregwyn in the parish of Llansilin. The file also contains a draft abstract of the title of Sir Watkin Williams Wynn to fee simple estates in the parishes of Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochnant, Lansilin and Llanarmon in Montgomeryshire and Denbighshire, 1881.

The estates include farms and lands in Llanfair [Caereinion], Llanfyllin, Llangadfan, Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochnant, Manafon and Pennant [Melangell], Montgomeryshire; Ruabon Chapel, [Plas Kynaston] in the parish of Ruabon and part of Brynyffynnon Orchard in the town of Wrexham, Denbighshire; lands in Llanfor and Llanycil, Merioneth; freehold farms in Llanerfyl, Llanymawddwy and Mallwyd in Montgomeryshire and Merioneth to be sold to Edmund Buckley; a rent and other hereditaments payable in the parish of Oswestry, Salop, Pentre (location not specified) and other unspecified estates in Denbighshire, Merioneth, Montgomeryshire and Salop, 1853-1859.
