Day books (Llangedwyn)

Lettered "Llangedwyn cash books" recording receipts and payments on the Llangedwyn estate, posted to series AH. This series continues from series AB.

Cash books

These books record receipts and payments on estate, with codes for posting to series Aj and Ak. Ai 4 and 5 record payments only.

Account books

These books are lettered 'Wynnstay Office Accounts', and record receipts (arranged according to different estates and other sources of income) and payments (arranged under estates with analytical headings: house, gardens, stables, kennels, game). Entries are posted to this series from AI. AJ are not ledgers. From 1911 onwards this series is succeeded by series AK which are ledgers.

Repairs ledgers

These two books are lettered 'No. 2' and 'No. 3' respectively, and record payments for repairs on estate, arranged by holdings with index.

Day books

These books record receipts for rents on the estates and other sources of income, e.g. royalties, dividends, timber and bark, encroachments, nursery, home farm, game, rabbits. After 1911 the entries are posted to series AK.

Day books (general)

These books record general payments (repairs etc.) on the estate. After 1885 they appear to relate to the Wynnstay Home Rents only. The volumes for 1883/4-1884/5, 1894/5 and 1896/7 are not in NLW. The references Aa 14, AA24 and AA26 have been provided in case NLW should acquire them at some future date.
